SEPTEMBER 27, 2024: Get to know Me and you need bad days to appreciate the Good.

Hey Meraki's! It's your girl Ga-Ga-Grace, bringing it back to you with her first blog! Honestly, side note, for the most part, these will be “informal” since I don't want a barrier between us. Today your girl is honestly a little sluggish, and my head feels everywhere and floaty. I have not been sleeping well as my body is adjusting to my new sleep schedule, on top of that, I'm so excited for my new journey and all I have in store for myself, that your girl just wants to go go go, instead of catering to her Feminine energy and taking some rest. Other than that, let's talk about what's currently happening. I recently started this journey on September 11th, no one truly knows about it, they have just heard little bits and pieces which I'm extremely proud of, especially as we enter Leo moon. Some quick facts about me: I am 19 years old (Did that surprise you? Comment down below), my job is a security guard, I was born in Plano, Texas and my ethnicity is Kenyan, I am the only sister from 3 brothers, I am a Tattoo Artist, I love the colors Brown, Green, and Red (if you couldn't tell, teehee), I have the biggest obsession with Mushrooms, they are just so cute and pudgy (It was my first tattoo and I drew it), I love tea, I have an obsession with Reading as well as Astrology, I was actually a very antisocial child throughout middle and high School, while in elementary a girl wasn’t scared of anything, a little too unscared actually, I've always been in tune with my intuition, never afraid to be alone, focused on myself, and more. I've always felt that I'm different from my generation. Instead of acting on my thoughts on wanting love from a guy, I stuck to my friends, myself, and school. Now did I feel I was the best looking? No, did guys probably feel that I wasn't confident? Yes, but I was still constantly being told anywhere I was going that I was beautiful, or my skin is amazing, I just didn't believe them, especially with how my family and friends commented on me. I also have always liked things that grew me, like reading, or were creative, like drawing, anything that was fun or brought a creative challenge to me. I'm in love with old songs whether it's 90’s or 50’s or that early y2k, I love instrumental, as well as K- pop and K-RnB, and literal vibrations in music, for example THAT part in Pink + White by Frank Ocean. Having the feeling and genuinely knowing that I do think and act differently from my generation led to the huge insecurity that no one would like me, that my authentic self wouldn't be perceived well and I would get bullied, and just all these self-deprecating thoughts that made me feel inferior to others, especially boys. I have changed from that mindset gratefully, and have realized my worth, that I don't care what you think, a man has no say on me, and a man especially is not Superior to me, no one is. I love myself more and more every day and am so proud and grateful for the woman I am and becoming. I know this blog is everywhere a little bit, I did give a subtle warning. I want to end this off with I hope you know that even if you’re down or feeling a bit icky or like you're going back to the old you, remember that it's okay, take time for yourself, acknowledge your feelings, come to terms with them, and journal out how you feel and how you can release them and continue striving forward. I'm here if you need a quick hey get up and don't let it control you, I love you sooo much, don't ever question it! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and you're in mine! Grand Rising! Sweet dreams! And or Good Afternoon! Muah

Word to Know

~ Meraki [may-rah-kee]: to do something with soul, creativity, or love

(The reason I call y’all this name is because everything I do is with creativity, soul, and love. I love to know that that's what I bring to you. Y'all are the birth of everything I strive for and the reason I can continue to do what I love for the rest of my life, and therefore y’all are my Meraki’s!)

Question of the Day

Have you ever written a love letter to yourself?

Comment down below or send me a personal email!

My answer: Yes; I wrote it around March. I do my best to read it every day or every time I open my physical journal. I completely recommend making one, and I will actually post a new one here for reference!
