October 17th, 2024: The Hidden Power of the Female Body. 


HI! I know, I know… but what is done is done. I took time to myself yesterday as I was not feeling the best and I didn't have anything to write down for you to read. I've come to realize, when I haven't learned something new, I don't have much to say to you, but it's not only that, It can also depend on my thoughts and emotions and your girl's emotions last night were not it. Today I woke up tired and did not want to get up and just sleep in( which I did, I took my 20 minutes back). I went to the gym and when I tell you it hit right, it hit right! I've been getting into different music, I am a lover of Instrumental, or vibrational music and going from childhood music and R&B to just instrumental and vibrational has been a little hard. Luckily I have been finding music, as well as music that makes me feel good and their messages don't bring negativity to me. Some recommendations for yall would be: Nature’s Joint by  (((•))) ( All her Albums eat), Om Gam Mantra by Chantress Seba( she eats too), When I'm in your arms, Life will be, and Why don't you by Cleo Sol. I haven't ventured too much as I haven't really been listening to music recently. Those artists are eating down, so listen and see what resonates. I also recommend straying further away from songs on Violence, normalizing Death, Constantly listening to sad music( especially when you're sad), and on Lust/Pleasure. Other than that, today is an amazing day! I've truly been happy and so excited for all these projects I'm working on. Today I've been learning even more on Menstruation Cycle and personal Hygiene. The menstrual cycle is very powerful, and a hidden power many women don't utilize as it's been made to seem like something to keep hidden. You can unlock so much potential you didn't know you even had when you pay attention to your body and cycle. As they say Cycle Awareness= Self-Awareness and Self-awareness= Power and Energy. The conversation for today is mostly catered to women, but I do believe men should know and beware of it, and you can learn some better hygiene as well. If you don't know, our Menstruation cycle is a full 28 days, made up of 4 phases, that correspond with the Moon Phases and Seasons.


Menstruation/ Winter

As we all know us women bleed for at most 6 days( unless  certain conditions and or problemalites in our bodies, check that out if you do have a longer period or 1-2 day period, if you haven’t).


This is called our Winter phase, which lasts 1-7 days


Archetype: The Crone/ The Visionary/ The Wise woman

  • Our Estrogen levels are at an All time low

  • During this time it is great to spend alone, so that you don't pick up others' energies as it is said your auric field is 3x its natural size.

  • It's good to sit with the gift and medicine of your intuition and what it's trying to bring to you. It's also good to be around women who support you( and I mean Truly support you). 

  • It's a time in which you can pick up on subtleties around you, and you can also be  Highly intuitive.


Your iron level tend to be lower which causes

  • Mental Fogginess

  • Fatigue


Your Diet during this time should center more around:

  • Iron-rich food

  • Lentils

  • Black Beans

  • Tofu

As well as Dark leafy greens, they are rich in magnesium, helps with PMS symptoms, reduce period pains, and improve digestion)

  • Kale

  • Beets

  • Mushrooms

  • Sea Veggies

  • Dulse

  • Seaweed

  • Hearty Greens

  • Root Veggies


Basically warming foods focused on Magnesium, Iron, Omega-3s, B Vitamins, and extra hydrating( coconut water is good during this time as well)


In terms of Seed Cycling( good with balancing the body and really helps with our menstruation cycle):

Pumpkin and Flaxseeds are during this phase



Follicular Phase/ Spring:

Archetypes: The Goddess/ Maiden

The Spring phase lasts 7-10 days

  • Estrogen: Rising

  • Mood, Energy, and Patience can continue to increase as well

  • Feelings: open to new experiences, socializing, and uncomfortable activities( going to the dentist , getting flu shots) will hurt less this week, than any other week of your cycle

  • Worst time for uncomfortable activities, arguably, is when you are bleeding

Great time to:

Make plans, visualize, have meetings, make decisions, curate your life, mind is sharp because estrogen is high, get things done, follow through with Creative Visions and Pursuits, Cultivate all of the wisdom you received from Winter and bring it into Spring

Great time to workout during this phase as you have more energy

  • Building and maintaining Muscle is easier right now

  • High Intense Workouts are great at this time 

You tend to be less hungry during this phase , due to rising estrogen and its slight appetite suppressing effect 

Eating Foods that help metabolize Estrogen will be helpful during this phase

  • Sprouted and Fermented foods

  • Broccoli Sprouts 

  • Kimchi 

  • Sauerkraut 

  • healthy fats 

  • Vitamin C loaded foods

Seed Cycling: Pumpkin and Flax Seeds

Ovulation/Summer 

Archetype: The Mother/ The Healer

The Summer Phase lasts 2-4 days 

  • Estrogen Peaks

  • Testosterone level is high

  • Moods: Impulsive, daring, and Competitive 

  • Libido is high all during your week

  • When testosterone spikes it boosts your libido even higher

Great time to continue pouring your energy and motivation into meaningful projects, sharing your passions, being super embodied in your sensuality

Diet: 

  • High Fiber foods

  • Leafy Greens

  • Magnesium Rich foods

  • Dark Chocolate 

  • B Vitamins 

  • Cruciferous Veggies

  • Whole Grains

Seed Cycling: Sesame and Sunflower Seeds

Tell sign you are ovulating 

  • A clear Film of discharge

  • When you check Inside there is a Saran wrap clear mucus ( cervical fluid)

Luteal Phase/Autumn

Archetype: The Wild Women/ The Priestess

The Autumn phase lasts 10-14 days

  • First Half of this Phase- Estrogen plunges back down ( Cause PMS like Symptoms), Then it rises again

  • Progesterone Rises

  • Feelings: Sensitive, Emotional, 

  • It can have you craving: Comfort Foods( that are high in fat and calories)

  • Appetite is greater and you’re hungrier more often 

  • Fasting or skipping will not be good at this time

A Side Effect of progesterone:

Triggers Constipation because it slows down digestion as a way to help your body absorb more nutrients from food ( in case you did get pregnant) and it prompts water retention which can cause bloating.

You’re also burning up to 30% more fat when you exercise, thanks to the combination of estrogen and progesterone, it makes your body more efficient at using fat for fuel

 Descending Estrogen can trigger cravings for carbohydrate-rich foods such as 

  • Sweets 

  • Pasta

  • Bread

As Estrogen levels drop it drags down levels of mood moderating Serotonin in the brain. Carbohydrates help to replenish it, so your body pushes you to eat more of them.

Diet:

Seed Cycling: Sesame seeds and Sunflower seeds 

Foods rich in 

  • Iron 

  • Zinc

  • Complex Carbs

  • Healthy fats

  • magnesium 

  • leafy greens

Grounding Foods

  • Sweet potatoes 

  • pumpkin 

This is a Great time to prepare for winter( Menstruation)

  • Cleaning out my house

  • Finishing projects 

  • organizing things

  • Having your last few meetings 

  • last dinner party of the month 

Exercise

  • Not the best time for super intense workouts

  • but maybe focus on low impact workouts 

  • Cardio

Period Blood Colors

  • Black: Beginning or end of a period, old blood, vaginal Blockages

  • Brown: Normal, old blood, pregnancy spotting, Miscarriage 

  • Dark Red: Normal, implantation spotting, bleeding after childbirth

  • Bright Red: Normal, fresh blood, steady flow

  • Pink: Normal, period blood mixed with vaginal fluids, change in body weight 

  • Orange: Normal, blood mixed with cervical fluid

I'm gonna Put Hygiene tips in tomorrow’s Blog, but Woman's Private Part Specific:


First learn the different areas of your kitty

You should only put unscented soap on your

  • Pubic Region

  • Outer Lips

  • Clitoral Hood

  • Clitours

  • Inner lips

Your VAGINA, you know that second hole down there, should not be having no soap up in there. It's a natural cleaner and putting anything up there will throw off your PH balance ( even that pew pew girl), it's understandable if you just don't feel that clean in there, you can squirt a little bit of water in there or use a Boric Acid vagina supplemment, but that would be all. With the water squirting avoid doing that as much as possible as you can end up flushing out the good bacteria that is in there. 


Also use a different towel for down there and make sure she really dries down there as you don't want to leave water and develop that bad bacteria and odor. 


It's preferred to use your hand when you're washing as washcloths and Micro-fibers really collect bacteria as you go and you want to be gentle with that area, so your hand is best. Only use one when you have ingrown hairs as it's good for removing them and helps exfoliate that area, just make sure you are cleaning that cloth or exfoliate very often.


Do NOT use Fragrance down there, It throws your PH balance completely off and leaves you even more vulnerable to STIs, yeast infections, and bad bacteria.


Unscented Natural Soaps is a good recommendation, PH Balanced Cleanser is also good, and don't forget your cranberries( CHUG! CHUG ! CHUG!), hydration as well, You Hydrated=Kitty Hydrated.


Your Diet plays A huge part in why and how you smell in your kitty.


Also make sure you are getting in your Probiotics, Prebiotics, Postbiotics, and nutrients. The three P’s help keep and make that good bacteria. TAKE YOUR VITAMINS.


Lastly, no matter what your kitty looks like, whether its small and petite, Big clited, extra inner lip, fat outer lips, or whatever; SHE IS BEAUTIFUL, look at her and tell her that, love on her and dont be afraid to truly look at her, one that can help you know if theres something you need to address with your doctor, and two really empowers you and brings out that sensual energy deep inside. Also all kitty’s have a smell, it's completely natural. It's your personal scent( and no you are not supposed to smell like a perfume down there).  To check if you need to pay attention to that smell,  slide a finger through your lusciousness and smell it and you buck away… Girl… anyways child so, go ahead and figure out what the underlying cause is, are you taking your probiotics, are you eating well, do you use fragrance products down there, are you cleaning well, do you have an infection, are you hydrating, etc, etc. Make sure to be mindful of your vagina, love on her just like the rest of your vessel. My Answer: Honestly? That you can use soap to wash your vulva, I didn't know the difference between the vulva and the vagina. Luckily, I'm aware now and I'm definitely immediately implementing.
